Aucklands newest radio station Botany Radio 107.1fm

Celebrations got under way at around 5 30 with the arrival of around thirty invited guests with representatives from the various Local Wards, the Howick Village Association and the mayor of the Auckland Super City himself, Len Brown. Brown, who has been a huge supporter of Howick village Radio, our sister station, was taken on a guided tour of the new facillities by station manager Phil Dark and after saying a few well chosen words declared the new station open and wished the people involved continued sucsess with the exiting venture.

The mayor .was then ushered into the studio for a quick on air chat where he again pledged his support for the venture and made a promise to come back and possibly host his own show.
